Dr. Morteza (Mory) Gharib is a global leader, innovator, and scientific research authority in aeronautics, specializing in flow control, VTOLS, underwater systems, and autonomous flight. He is
the co-founder and Chair of the Board of Directors for Soaring Technologies. In addition, Mory is Hans W. Liepmann Professor of Aeronautics and the Booth-Kresa Leadership Chair for the Center for Autonomous Systems and
Technologies at Caltech. He currently serves as the Chair of the Graduate Aerospace Department (GALCIT) and as the Director of the Center for Autonomous Systems and Technologies at Caltech.”

He is a member of National Academy of Engineering(NAE) and a Fellow of American Academy of Arts and Sciences(AAAS) and a Fellow of National Academy of Inventors (NAI).
