About the job:
An Electrical Engineer in this position will be tasked with the detailed design and development of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), creating and deploying test equipment to ensure the integrity and functionality of electronic systems. The role requires a strong background in battery technology and the management of high power electrical systems, key to maintaining system reliability and efficiency. This professional will also be involved in the electrical aspects of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) development, contributing to the optimization of their performance and power consumption. The job demands proficiency in electronic hardware design, the use of CAD software for PCB layouts, cable harness management, and a solid understanding of power electronics, coupled with an analytical mindset and a dedication to continuous learning in the field of electrical engineering. Some experience on low level firmware development to test electronic hardware is desirable.
This position is mainly hands on and on-site, with working hours from 9am to 6pm
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for PCB designs, including assembly drawings and BOMs.
- Design and assemble test equipment and fixtures for electronic subsystems validation and debugging.
- Lead the integration of battery systems, ensuring safe operation and adherence to industry standards for high power applications.
- Generate cable harness drawings as needed for system integration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the electrical architecture of UAV systems.
- Generate test procedure and conduct design verification/validation and testing of electrical components, including stress testing, thermal analysis and EMC/EMI.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues that arise during development, testing, or production phases.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with regulatory standards and contribute to the preparation of certification documents for final product approval.

Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Prior Experience: Must have 4+ years of experience in working robotics systems,
- Computer Skills: Altium, KiCAD, Python, C/C++
- Technical Skills: PCB Schematic Design, PCB Routing, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Logic Analyzers
- Industry-Specific Knowledge: ESC systems, BLDC Motors, Battery Management Systems
- Preferred Skills: Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently. Communication, problem solving and teamwork skills.
